History made

Tonight was the first CNN/You Tube video debate for the Democratic candidates. Republicans will get their chance in September.

As I watched, I observed direct, intelligent questions submitted via You Tube. Some of the answers showed that "old Political spin" but at least got answers.
Senator John Edwards stumbled on the Gay Marriage issue-that hurt him.

Mike Gravel demonstrated the frustration and anxiety of the public over the Congress's inability to make change. The question was "Since the Democrats have been in office, nothing has changed. What makes us think that electing any of you will make a difference." Sen. Joe Biden quoted his long service as a reference-which means what? Congress has a 14% approval rating.

Cindy Sheehan has been arrested again. She is asking for Impeachment of Bush and Cheney. "Impeachment is not a fringe movement, it is mandated in our Constitution. Nancy Pelosi had no authority to take it off the table,"

Rep. John Conyers introduced a bill last term calling on Congress to determine whether there are grounds for impeaching Bush. Pelosi has steadfastly dismissed any talk of impeachment, saying Democrats should focus their efforts on ending the war in Iraq.

Please use the link "Contact the Speaker" and let her know that this is something that needs to be done to restore the Constitution in the government.

Daniel (Harry Potter) Radcliff turned 18 today-his trust fund from the HP movies is 40 million.

Dubai say it has the world's tallest building 1,680-foot skyscraper still under construction; finished height a secret. (Glad to see all that oil money is not being wasted on the poor)

If your Internet connection is slow-talk to 75-year-old Sigbritt Lothberg of Stockhom, Sweeden.
Lothberg's son, Peter, worked together with Hafsteinn Jonsson, head of the Karlstad city network unit to install the connection.

A movie takes less than 2 seconds to download. She is getting speeds of 40 gigabits-per-second with a fiber-optic connection. (I thought 6M was faster after dialup. Think America is falling way behind on the Tech race.)
